Isaiah 43:18,19

God commands us to "Remember ye not the former things, neither the things

of the old." Rather, God gave us the assurance that "Behold, I will do a new thing;

now it shall spring forth, shall ye not know it?"

i remembered that at the first cell of the year (last tues) i prayed with cheryl

and faith that we, as a cell, will leave behind the past of 2008 and look forward to

a glorious and victorious future with God in 2009. No matter how many successes,

failures and breakthroughs that occured, it is now time to move on.

it is time to look forward.

2009

the year 2009 will be a year of new things as old things are brought to completion.

people need to stop looking at the former things, the past and STOP

trying to understand or formulate a course of action of how to respond or act.

the year 2009 will be one of conflicts, contradiction, confusion that our own

human wisdom and experience will NOT be able to answer.

but. 2009 WILL BE a laying of foundations of the things to come.

God showed me all of you now, all of you leaders that are laying the foundation of

cell at NP. and then He gave me the priceless chance to meet, one-by-one, the people

who are coming or are planning to come to ngee ann at the Open House.

i was just so astonished all the people He is sending our way.

2009 WILL BE a laying of foundations of the things(and the people) to come. (Amen?!)

it will also be the beginning of the completion of the prophecies of Jesus about the

end time. they will soon come to pass.

people, it is the final days.

there will be many who will come to the folds (rejoice!)

and there will be a great number that will fall away.

great fortunes will tumble, people will lose their jobs, economic downturns and

such have occured, and may occur more. we will see hypocrits, false teachers,

blind guides. all these will arise.

Hidden sins too.

(saddening, isn't it?)

but take heart, kingfishers.

the only consistency is that Jesus Christ, our rock and redeemer, our shield and

support, our strength and our trust is the same yesterday, today and FOREVER!

many have been called, but few are chosen. and

YOU, kingfisher, have been called to be a conqueror, an overcomer, a leader, a soldier

a servant, a worker. (claim that.)

right now, take a minute. examine yourself, reflect.

check ur focus and direction. examine your goal.

ask God to make you pure and white as snow. if there is any area of hidden sin, repent.

account.

(the last thing you want is for you to get so bogged up with your own sin and lose focus)

start this year RIGHT.

He has called us to be RADICAL Christians.

we WILL face choices. choices that have to be boldly and courageously made.

very little or trivial things, such as the things we say, the littlest actions,

what we WATCH, what we READ - they are evidence of your stand in God.

does your choice of movie or words or books show your firm, unshakeable stand

in God? or does it reflect COMPROMISE?

2009 is a pivotal year for you and I.

do you see it?

a time... of donning your battle garments.

now.

pick up your shield.

pick up your sword.

will YOU join the ranks beside God and tear down the walls of Jericho(Ngee Ann)?

I'm ready to fight.
